This exercise’s goal is to increase core stability inclusive of both hip strength as well as balance. It incorporates using a correctly sized ball which allows you to sit on top of the ball with feet flat on the floor and knees at approximately 90 degrees.
Once seated on the ball, the patient engages their core with a posterior pelvic tilt and then with arms out to the side/not touching the ball, alternates a slow match with their feet. See the image below for reference!
