Improve Health by Sweating with Steam

Posted by Bruce Carrington on

For hundreds (if not thousands) of years human beings have been making use of our body's ability to sweat - both intentionally and unintentionally.

A trip back to Ancient Rome will reveal the somewhat well-known practice of frequent visits to plush bath houses, tiled with mosaics, and filled with steam. In many Native American cultures, both historically and at present, sweat lodges are used ceremonially and as a regular practice to promote health and longevity. Today, many gyms that we visit are fitted with steam rooms and saunas for use before or after working out.

So how does it work?  According to healthline, using a steam room can: improve circulation, lower blood pressure, reduce stress, clear congestion, promote skin health, aid in workout recovery, loosen stiff joints, burn calories, and boost the immune system.

Unfortunately, building a steam room or sauna at home isn't cheap, and we don't always enjoy the gym environment. That's why we love SereneLife SLISAU35BK Full Size Portable Steam Sauna, it provides a highly effective and affordable way to get in a good sweat.  Check it out in the video below!
