A cervicogenic headache can be caused by referred pain of the cervical joints, discs, ligaments and/ or musculature usually of the C1-C3 region. This can present in a unilateral “rams horn” pattern of pain from the neck to behind the eye and can be exacerbated by neck movement or posture.
